Geoteknia AS has assisted as geotechnical consultant in connection with the construction of a new stormwater pipeline intended to convey Bekkelagsbekken from Jomfrustien in the Ekeberg hillside down to the Oslo Fjord.
The project is managed by the Water and Wastewater Agency of Oslo Municipality, with Steg Entreprenør as the main contractor under a construction contract.
The works include construction of a 600 mm bored rock tunnel down to the harbor area and installation of a 1000 mm concrete pipeline continuing to the quay front and Oslo Fjord, in addition to associated chambers and utility relocations.
Geoteknia was engaged during the construction phase and planned and carried out supplementary ground investigations as well as quality assurance and supplementation of construction documentation prior to execution.
